Buildings:

It is located in Old Silent Hill on the corner of Bloch St. and Bachman Rd. Dahlia Gillespie is commonly found here ringing the church bells.

Bartlett Winery - Situated on the western end of town, this small vineyard and winery have been owned by the Bartlett family for years. Access is impossible, as the bridge leading to the structure is out. Located in Shepard's Glen.

Cafe 5to2 is a small diner located on the north side of Old Silent Hill on Bachman Street.

There are Portishead posters on the window.

There are Stephen King "Study Dammit!" posters by the pinball machine.

Behind the counter, there is a rather random creepy picture of a ghostly-looking white woman wearing a veil who seems to be weeping blood.

Inside the café is a Medieval Madness Pinball machine.

Circle 8 Convenience Store is located on Bachman Road, in the north area of Old Silent Hill. It is labeled on the game map as "Convenience Store".

The store is a parody of 7-Eleven.

Cut Rite Chainsaws is located on Bloch Street in Old Silent Hill of the first game. If Harry Mason has unlocked the chainsaw in "Next Fear" mode, Harry can pick up the weapon here in the smashed window.

In addition to his offices, Dr. Martin Fitch also runs his clinic out of the same building.

Located off of Main St. in Shepherd's Glen, the first room one encountered is a reception room. Leading off the reception room is a hallway containing four doors, of which two accessible while the others are jammed and blocked.

One of the two is an exam room which has been converted into a makeshift girl's bedroom containing Scarlet's Doll, among others. The other door, which only opens after exiting the small bedroom, is Fitch's office, which contains medical instruments, memos and personal belongings pertaining to the doctor.

The Hell Gas Station is on Bloch St. in Old Silent Hill, near Balkan Church. It is labeled on the map as "Gas Station".

The gas station is modeled after the Shell Gas Station, and the sign has a shell on it. The banners on the building read "Super Tuesday: 6 Cans of Formula Hell."

Midwich Elementary School is a school located on the southwest side of Old Silent Hill, on Midwich Street.

Teachers
K. Gordon
T. Moore
L. Ranaldo
S. Shelley

Symbolism

Midwich is very much symbolic of a hellish school, which no sane parent would want to send their child to. The environment was palpably toxic, where children bully others and the teachers seem to condone it (or at the very least, ignore it), and where kids who are "different" are ridiculed and teased. To add onto this, in the film adaptation, Midwich is shown to have a janitor that engages in acts of pedophilia.

Midwich and religion

It is heavily implied that Midwich, like many contemporary schools, is religious in nature. In the first game, crucifixes of Jesus can be found in the classrooms, implying that Midwich is a Christian or Catholic school. It is possible that Midwich is run by the Order since Dahlia Gillespie, an Order member, specifically chose it to educate her daughter.

In the film adaptation, Midwich is partially run by a religious cult and there is a painting that says "God" on it. There is also an excerpt from Psalm 34:21: "The foes of the righteous will be condemned." Rose runs past a hopscotch which has "HEAVEN" and "HELL" on it, implying that teachers are teaching children about the concepts of heaven and hell, or "good" and "evil" (or their perspective of such).

The Orridge Bridge Control Room is a building in Old Silent Hill that contains the controls for raising and lowering the bridge leading to Central Silent Hill.

Queen Burger is found in Old Silent Hill, near Cafe 5to2 on the corner of Bachman Road and Matheson Street. The logo and name resemble that of Burger King.

Queen Burger can be found in the upper-left region of one of the game's major roads, Brite St., located across from the movie theater. As in Silent Hill, only the exterior of the restaurant is viewable. Like most buildings in the Downpour installment, all of its doors are sealed or barred shut.

The cemetery is one of the most prominent locales within the town of Shepherd's Glen, as it takes up a good portion of the map. It is filled with various graves, many of which are unnamed and unmarked. Alex must pass through Rose Heights Cemetery in order to reach another area of Shepherd's Glen, as large holes have inexplicably appeared, blocking the main streets. Alex reaches a rear entrance of the cemetery through his home's backyard and makes his way to the main entrance near the Founders Garden.

The cemetery takes up a large area and contains various gardens and structures aside from the graves. There are five major areas able to be explored inside the cemetery:

The East Garden
The Family Crypts: The Family Crypts are further split into three rows: North, Mid and South, and contain small crypts, each with two caskets within.
The West Garden: The West Garden, which includes the entrance, contains mostly unnamed graves.
Founders Row: The crypts within Founders Row are inaccessible.
Founders Garden: Located near the entrance. The members of the town's four founding families are interned here. The founding families also hold mausoleums throughout the cemetery, two of which are in the Founders Garden.
Although the map presents clear paths through the cemetery, much of the gates and pathways have been blocked by overgrown vegetation and rubble. Much of the cemetery has also eroded; in fact, the East Garden, with its fountain and graves, has collapsed much deeper into the ground.

Built along Craven Avenue in Shepherd's Glen, it is the home of the Shepherd family.

Just like every other structure in town, the Shepherds' house looks as though it's falling apart, seemingly abandoned and left to rot. Windows are boarded up, paint is flaking, and retaining walls have begun to fall apart. A garage sits attached to the house.

It's a two-story building, excluding the attic or basement. A foyer, the family room, a kitchen, dining room, a locked room, and a door leading downstairs can be found on the first floor, while the second floor holds Alex and Joshua's room and a puzzle therein, Adam and Lillian's room, and a sitting room with a doorway leading into the attic. The attic, locked until the player obtains the key in Adam's hunting room, appears devoid of purpose at first glance. However, hidden behind a bookcase is a secret room.

The Shepherd's Inn - Resting just outside of Shepard's Glen, this inn was once a welcoming place for strangers. In more pleasant times, it came highly recommended, affording those who visited in the past fond memories of their time spent there.

The police force of Shepherd's Glen is stationed here, with Adam Shepherd as police chief and Wheeler serving as deputy.

Like all structures in the cursed town, the police station is in a state of great disrepair. Several patches of the ceiling had collapsed, multiple doorways are jammed, and several more boarded up. The latter is most likely Wheeler's attempt at barricading the station from monsters, and this is confirmed in his diary. There is a stairwell indicated on the map of the station that Alex finds, but access to it is cut off. Eight holding cells can be found on the first floor, as well as a storage closet, the chief's office, and a briefing room. There are also toilets, one of which contains a health drink, but it can be dangerous to retrieve as the monsters in the station can trap Alex. There is a safe inside the garage that has some ammo in it, but this is optional to open.

Located south of the Bartlett Winery on River View Road in Shepherd's Glen, a covered bridge must be crossed in order to enter. A section of the town's now-defunct coal mine is visible from the entrance to the Salvage Yard. It is operated, if not outright owned, by Curtis Ackers.

As the name implies, it is plentiful in refuse. Large appliances of all makes, cars, petroleum barrels and dumpsters lay about, transforming what can loosely be called a yard into a maze. Car parts, such as hubcaps and rims, seem to have also proliferated across the property, as well as large containers of actual waste. Aside from the main complex, what appears to be a small water tower can be seen, which prompts Alex to comment that he can recall children and teenagers daring one another to climb up the structure as high as possible. Curtis Ackers is found inside of the only structure sitting on the lot.

Much like the outside, the interior of the shop is unkept. Tools and clock parts are found in sizable quantities, while pistol ammunition can also be found sitting on a cart. Two vending machines occupy one wall of the shop, while Curtis himself is seated on a bench, nursing a broken clock with a shotgun sitting nearby.

The Town Hall is Shepherd Glen's main legal department and also home to the town records and articles of journalism. Judge Margaret Holloway presides here and can be found working in her office despite no other staff being present, nor any member of the dwindling population of the town.

Many paintings inside the building are that of the town's original founding families and their descendants. Some are noticeably missing, specifically that of the Shepherd family.

The four founding families had ritualistic meetings in a secret chamber hidden under the Town Hall.

In the center of the building is a large rectangular room, with a large slab in the middle. It is revealed to be a door which can be unlocked using the founders' key, leading down to a small series of corridors which eventually lead to a larger room that contains four ancient books, which document the titles and duties of each of the four families.

In addition to the old books and dagger, a door is located under Town Hall. Once unlocked, it opens into a series of passages which lead to Rose Heights Cemetery.

Built along the shores of Toluca Lake within Toluca County, it is neighbored by the sleepy burg of Silent Hill, Maine.

A pact made long ago by the town's founders with the god of the Order gives this town a very dark history, making the town built on the ritualistic human sacrifice of children.

Shepherd's Glen, like Silent Hill, is a town built along the shores of Toluca Lake. A dense pine forest can be seen upon approaching the town via River View Road. The lake borders the town on the east, while the Toluca River runs through it to the west. Judging by the location on the map, it seems most likely Shepherd's Glen is either south or south-west of Silent Hill, though its exact location in relation to its neighbor is unknown. It could also be to the north, given that the Toluca River extends south of the map, and a large river divides Old Silent Hill and Central Silent Hill. Given that it's a small town, only three large roads pass through; Main Street, River View Road, and Craven Avenue. As seen on the town map found in-game, all three roads are shown to run off the map borders, indicating that either Shepherd's Glen is larger than it appears, or several municipalities may lie nearby.
