Amphibians: The Albinoid is the result of the t-Virus having been injected into salamanders. The effect is as usual with simpler animals injected with t-Virus; considerable growth with some mutation. The mutation turned out to be the ability to generate electrical shocks which was very useful in the water.

The Lurker was an amphibian species created in the early years of t-Virus research as a potential bio-weapon. Created by Dr. James Marcus, the failures in the Lurker indicated that amphibian-based bio-weapons were impractical with the t-Virus strains available at the time.

The infected frogs were largely unbenefited by the viral infection, only increasing in size. It was largely agreed in Umbrella research for years to come that a bio-weapon should have both strength and intellect; as the Lurker's brainpower did not improve beyond that of the frog species it was based on, it was unsuitable for military sales.

Arthropods: Umbrella experimented on different types of insects as well. One was called Stinger, which was a giant Scorpion that was eventually infected. A smaller batch of flying insects was referred to as Plague Crawlers, though that experiment was scrapped due to their limited intelligence. A Centipede that had been infected was called Centurion, and later killed during experimentation.

Scissor Tails refer to an earwig like insect that had been used. An Irregular mutant that seems to be a mutated earwig, it uses its newfound abilities granted to it by the t-Virus to hunt prey and induce bleeding and in some cases, poisoning. There are two kinds of Scissor Tail and both seem to have different capabilities. The brown Scissor Tail is the largest of the two types and will induce bleeding upon unsuspecting victims. The blue Scissor Tail, while slightly smaller, will induce poison and bleeding on its victims. Both types do this either by stabbing their prey using their sharp tails or tackling and biting their prey.

Both types of Scissor Tails have mutated to the point where they have grown out of their wings. The wings, while present, are incapable of flight as they did not scale well with the Scissor Tail's mass increase and are seemingly vestigial now. When they feel threatened, they will burrow underground in an attempt to escape their attacker.

Umbrella's experiments resulted in both regular and Giant Moths being used as potential weapons in different cases.

Giant Moth research was conducted in the Raccoon City Underground Laboratory. The research into moth-based B.O.W.s was a failure in this experiment. Mutating to a larger size normally did not keep them in proportion, making their wings strong enough only to hover over the ground. However, they did also developed the ability to spit poison on prey as a means of compensating for their flight problems.

Other Moths were typical moths that later mutated due to prolonged exposure to other experiments in the Antartic Labs. They were able to produce poisonous dust and had also taken to attaching eggs to bodies cocooned in the corridors. These eggs would later hatch into parasitic larva that would seek out fresh prey, latching onto and poisoning them to eat at their leisure upon death.

Bats: The virus caused the bats to exhibit much more aggressive behavior, as well as a slight increase in body mass in most cases. Bats on Rockford Island showed no increase in mass and could be deterred by light when attacking. Although typically the only sign of infection was increased aggression, a few bats in particular mutated to an enormous size. The mutations took a heavy toll on their body, causing multiple muscle tears in the animals' enormous wingspan.

Birds: Many crows became infected with the t-Virus after consuming smaller, infected animals. Unlike other animals infected by the t-Virus, crows showed no visible signs of infection aside from their increased size. If threatened, however, they would attack their prey in a flock. Otherwise, they were harmless. It was through the crows that S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team member Forest Speyer became infected with the t-Virus.

Canines: Zombie Dog is a term referring to domesticated canines infected with the t-Virus through its secondary method, namely the ingestion of infected food or organisms. It should be noted that they are separate from the Cerberuses; the latter was created specifically as a Bio Organic Weapon, while zombie dogs are viewed and treated as unintended side-effects of t-Virus dispersal and are thus classified as irregular mutants.

The Fenrir was a wolf-type B.O.W. created though infection from the t-Abyss virus.

Cerberus: The Cerberus (development code: "MA-39") was a B.O.W. series developed in Umbrella labs, such as the Arklay Laboratory, from a Doberman pinscher infected with the t-Virus. They should not be confused with "zombie dogs", which encompasses all dog breeds infected with the t-Virus in the secondary form.

Although suffering from a similar necrosis to humans infected by the t-Virus as well as zombie dogs (although to a far more subdued degree than their irregular mutant counterparts), Cerberuses retain much of their former agility, with a noticeable increase in durability and aggression.

In most cases, potential prey should listen for the sound of padding paws as a clue to their presence, with a growling warning that a Cerberus has become aware of the person and is preparing to attack.

Fish/Sharks:

Ghiozzo is a carnivorous fish-based B.O.W. They are created by water contamination and affect all fish making them mutate into a piranha-like state.

The Nautilus was a failed B.O.W. that was thought to have been disposed of on the Umbrella Waste Disposal Facility, but due to the mismanagement of the facility, the creature was allowed to grow and reproduced asexually in the waterways. Observations and data were collected on the strange mutation, but its origins remain uncertain. They were originally marine ascidiacea (more commonly known as ascidians or sea squirts).

The Neptune (development code: "FI-03") series of B.O.W.s were mutated sharks, created specifically to test the effects of the experimental t-Virus on sea creatures.

The research team was disappointed with the results, with little significant change. Much of the research team moved on to other projects and most of the subjects were disposed of. A female was left for continued research when it was discovered she was pregnant. The staff monitored her carry twelve pups, but ten died soon after hatching. The remaining two survived and were subject to further study into the possibility of creating self-fertilizing B.O.W.s as an alternative to cloning.

The Torpedo Kid is a failed B.O.W. They were given their name because their body shape and swimming style makes them look like torpedoes. They are only produced by a Nautilus.

Snakes: Adders around the Spencer Mansion were infected unintentionally when a virus 'leak' happened from the S.T.A.R.S. members arriving at the mansion. One had been taken years earlier and mutated into a giant snake they named Yawn.

Yawn: The Yawn was a snake-based B.O.W. that lurked around in the Spencer Mansion. It was nicknamed "Yawn" by the Arklay Laboratory team in reference to the way its mouth opens before attacking, which resembled a yawn.

Yawn was one of the many test subjects bred specifically as experimental B.O.W.s. The specimen escaped, however, and managed to avoid recapture by the scientists in the Arklay Laboratory. It was eventually infected with the t-Virus, and it promptly made the mansion its home, preying on any humans that happened to come across it.

Spiders: Umbrella experimented on a few different types of Spiders. Some turned out to be a success while others failed. Any spiders that end up infected unintentionally by wandering into an experiment and then growing have simply been called Giant Spiders. Web Spinners were experimented on in the Spencer Mansion, Black Widows in the Antartic Labs, Jumping 'Maneaters' in South America and Giant Whip Spiders were on Sushestvovanie Island. The Giant versions carried their offsprings on their backs, simply dubbed Little Spiders in the files, and they would attack prey when close to their mother or when their mother was killed they would swarm the prey. Umbrella Employees used the Blue Herbs Jubilee created to cure the poison if a little spider bit them. If bit by a Giant Spider they tended to need a stronger dose along with some wound healing if the fang didn't hit anything vital, or merely a stronger dose of the cure if the venom was spit at them.

Web Spinners were a series of spider-based Bio-Organic Weapons developed by Umbrella USA. Though they had functional spinning glands, despite their name they rarely made webs with their silk. The Web Spinner was intended to be deployed to war zones and use its venom to injure combatants before eating them. The limited intelligence and less-than hoped strength increase made the series non-viable and it was largely discontinued.

Their lack of intelligence made them uncontrollable and therefore a potential danger to their owners, and Umbrella was disappointed in their physical strength and had hoped for a stronger weapon. Their fast mobility and ability to climb walls was applauded, however, and they were instead re-evaluated as a secondary wave. In the end, they were declared unfit, and most were destroyed. A Larger one managed to escape at the mansion and settle in the woods around it. Essex left it to roam as a source of security so long as any offspring were destroyed on a regular basis.

Other - Alligators have been known to be infected with the t-Virus, and a number of individual cases exist. Two on Sheena Island, and one was taken from a Zoo in Raccoon City.

The Crocodice was a crocodilian-based B.O.W. engineered by Umbrella from a laboratory specimen. It grew to a larger size as a result of G-virus infection.

When the outbreak in Raccoon City occurred Elephants, Lions, Hyenas and others were infected. No conclusive testing was able to be done. Raccoon City's and the Arklay Mountains' wasp population grew to huge sizes thanks to the viral outbreak. Their mutation was mostly limited to an increase in size and general aggression, common with the simpler t-Virus-infected animals.

The Anubis is a new B.O.W. designed by the Umbrella Corporation as a replacement for the Hunter B.O.W., created from a bat with insect DNA and the t-virus implanted in its body. The resulting mutations stripped away most of the Anubis' skin, musculature, and organs while increasing its size, durability, and aggression.

As such, it can jump and move with surprising speed while still possessing incredible skeletal strength. It skillfully uses its talon-like claws to scale walls and ceilings, and can assault its victims from these vantage points.

These were a primate type of B.O.W. The Eliminator was one of several early prototype weapons developed exclusively by James Marcus during the test phases of the t-virus capabilities as a weapon, but before the selection of a specific host for the strain. Developed alongside the Eliminator were the Lurker and Plague Crawlers, further displaying Marcus' fascination with the use of unlikely subjects as deadly weapons.

Although initially deemed a successful product, the Eliminator was found to have undergone a significant decline in overall intelligence as a result of t-virus administration, which was supposed to be its greatest asset to Umbrella's B.O.W. program. Mass-production of the Eliminator was canceled and only a handful of specimens were preserved for further testing and general research.
